• If this is your first offense (within 10 years), and you qualify for the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) Program, license suspension will be zero, one or two months, depending in which tier your BAC falls. You would be eligible to apply for the Ignition Interlock Limited License and serve your suspension “soft” with the interlock device for as long as you are suspended.
  • If this is your first offense (within 10 years), and you do NOT qualify for ARD, license suspension time will be zero or 12 months, depending in which tier your BAC falls. You would be eligible to apply for the Ignition Interlock Limited License (IILL) immediately and serve your suspension “soft” with the interlock device for as long as you are suspended.
  • If this is your second or subsequent offense within 10 years, license suspension time increases and eligibility for IILL becomes delayed, in that you must serve half of your suspension “hard “ (no driving) and the balance of suspension “soft” with IILL.
  • If you refused chemical testing, your license WILL be suspended for 12 or 18 months, depending on first or subsequent offense within 10 years, and half of the suspension must be served “hard” prior to IILL eligibility.
